Understanding UK Sizing to US

In contrast, Europe follows a distinct standard for both clothing and footwear sizes. For children’s clothing in the UK, sizes are primarily based on height and other body measurements, rather than age.
For women’s clothing in the UK, there’s a specific standard known as BS 3666, established in 1982, that is followed. Men’s clothing adheres to a different standard, BS 6185, which also takes into account measurements of the bust, waist, and hips.
